Inn Bolen

Inn Bolen, 83, of Churubusco, IN, and having family in Andrews, IN, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at 11:34 p.m. in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Bolen spent most of his formative years in Kentucky and West Virginia before moving to Indiana. He retired from the Kendallville Foundry after 33 years. He was a member of the St. John Bosco Catholic Church.

He was born on May 30, 1934, in Knott County, KY,  to Wheatley and Lottie Frazier Bolen. He was married to Margaret Brendel at St. Paul of the Cross in Columbia City on July 20, 1957, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters,  Julie Theobald, of Andrews, and Virginia (Daniel) Osborn, of Leesburg, FL; two sons, Joseph (Jana) Bolen, of High Springs, FL, and Francis (Karen) Bolen, of South Bend; a sister, Violet Chapman; a brother, Ellis Ray Hicks; nine grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., with Holy Rosary, at 7 p.m., at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home. Additional calling will be one hour immediately prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, Dec. 15, 2017, at 11a.m., at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 220 N. Main St., Churubusco. Burial will follow at Eel River Cemetery, Allen County.

Memorials are for Masses at the church or donations to the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry, Churubusco.
