Lillian M. Shepherd

Lillian M. Shepherd, 83, of rural Syracuse,IN and having relatives in Huntington, IN,   died Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at 7:41 p.m. at Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw.

Mrs. Shepherd had worked in janitorial services for Wabash Alloys and Wendt and Sons, both of Wabash.

She was born May 16, 1934, in Siloam Springs, MO,  to Shelt and Katie Collins Collins. She married Delbert Shepherd in Lagro on Aug. 19, 1968, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2003.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Linda) Sopher, of Swayzee, and Jason Shepherd, of Wabash; a stepson, Scott (Linda) Haupert, of Lagro; a sister, Bernice Daugherty, of St. Louis, MO; five grandchildren, Brittney Shepherd, of Syracuse; Michael Kastner, of Lafayette; Kenda Gidley and Scott Miracle, both of Wabash; and Hannah Frazier of Elwood; two stepgrandchildren, Andrea Haupert, of Huntington, and Scott Haupert, of Lagro; three great-grandchildren; and a companion, Ray Prater, of Kokomo.

Calling is Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Paul Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash, at a later date.
