Bonnie V. Sullivan

Bonnie V. Sullivan, 89, of Bluffton, IN, and having family in Warren, IN, died Monday evening, Jan. 1, 2018, at Chalet Village in Berne.

Mrs. Sullivan graduated from Chester Center School in 1946 and worked at Bachman Foods in Bluffton and also at the Bluffton News-Banner. She was a member of Park United Brethren Church

She was born in Chester Township on July 22, 1928, to Edson and Clara Goodwin Bennett. She married Doyle W. Sullivan on Oct. 7, 1950, at the Poneto United Methodist Church. Her husband preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2014.

Survivors include a son, Terry Sullivan, of Decatur; a daughter, Athena Dedrick, of Warren; four sisters-in-law, Carolyn Bennett and Barbara Prough, both of Bluffton; Catherine Bennett, of Portland; and Shirley Sullivan, of Fort Wayne; two grandchildren, Christopher Hanson, of Bluffton, and Joshua Hanson, of Decatur; and four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
 
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Alan Sullivan.

Calling is Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. A service to celebrate Mrs. Sullivan’s life will be held Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. John Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.

Memorials may be made to an animal shelter of the donor’s choice.
