Dale E. Guerin

Dale E. Guerin, 89, of Huntington, IN, and formerly of Fort Wayne, IN, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mr. Guerin had attended Purdue University and then worked his first job at Majestic Company in Huntington. He retired from Magnavox in 1990 as a technical engineer after almost 30 years. Previously he had worked in a number of different jobs, including working at International Harvester, farming and repairing televisions. He was a member of Zanesville Community Church of God. He had resided in The Heritage of Huntington prior to this death.

He was born July 9, 1928, in Fort Wayne to John Noah and Frances Mae Hahn Guerin. He married Alice Keller, and she preceded him in death in 1996. He later married Glenna Cayot, and she survives in Zanesville.

Additional survivors are a son, Terry (Lois) Guerin, of Van Buren; a daughter, Sandra (John) Wright, of Roanoke; two stepdaughters, Ellen Decker, of Bluffton, and Carol (Jim) Love, of Fremont; two stepsons, Les Cayot and Brad (Julie) Cayot, both of Zanesville; a grandson, Daniel Wright, of Roanoke; and five stepgrandchildren, Jess Decker, Rachel Villarosa, Paige Zoucha, Matthew (Sara) Sullivan and Micah Sullivan.

He was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Karen Cayot.

Calling is Sunday, Jan. 14, 2018, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill Street, Ossian. A funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in Hoverstock Cemetery.

Preferred memorials are to the Zanesville Community Church of God.
