Beulah M. 'Boots' Cotter

Beulah M. "Boots" Cotter, 91, formerly of Wabash, IN, and having family in Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at 8:30 p.m. at Timbercrest Health Care Center in North Manchester.

Mrs. Cotter worked at General Tire and volunteered with Helping Hands. She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, the Wabash Moose Lodge and the Wabash American Legion.

She was born Feb. 21, 1926, in Switzer, WV, to Ray Sherman and Myrtie McBrayer Conn. She first married Randall Barker in 1945. She married Robert Cotter in 1988, and he preceded her in death in 1999.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Barker, of Roanoke; Keith (Kelly) Barker, of North Manchester; and Charles (Lori) Cotter, of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Deborah (Greg) Christopher of Goodyear, AZ, and Debra Cotter, of Cockeysville, MD; a daughter-in-law, Leslie Barker, of Wabash; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Todd) Helms, of Fort Wayne; Christina Marie (Mark) Stefanatos, of Converse; Samantha (Andrew) Switzer, of Noblesville; Nichole (Jeff) Stagg, of Easton, PA; Sherman Barker, of Wabash; Austin Barker, Saebre Barker, and Katie Barker, all of North Manchester; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Coleman Barker.

Calling is Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Andrew Curry officiating. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash.
