Cecile M. Broxon

Cecile M. Broxon, 84, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 4:45 a.m. at Oakbrook Village in Huntington.

Mrs. Broxon worked in production at Memcor and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of VFW Post 2689 Ladies’ Auxiliary.

She was born Sept. 15, 1933 in Amanda, OH, to Estel Gale and Edna Pearl Raymond Cavinee. She married James W. Broxon on Oct. 12, 1949; he preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2011.

Survivors include four daughters, Sharon (Kevin) Herring, of South Whitley; Rhonda (Gregory) Andrews, of Kimmel; Judith (Rodney) Taylor, of Andrews; and Deborah (Shaun) Bickel, of Huntington; three sons, James E. Broxon, of Roanoke; David L. (Peggy Snyder) Broxon, of Mt. Etna; and Paul A. Broxon, of Huntington; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by four grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1190W-500N, Huntington, with one hour of calling prior. Bishop Keith Hughes will officiate. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
