Dena D. Cooper

Dena Dee Cooper, 95, of Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at Covington Commons, in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of Christ’s United Methodist Church, Roanoke, and Sonrise United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne.  She was the office manager for her husband, Dr. B. Trent Cooper, for 38 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Women, American Mothers and China/Burma/India World War II Auxiliary.

She was born Aug. 9, 1922, in Hendricks County to Harold and Jesse June Reeves Cornwell. She married B. Trent Cooper on Oct. 23, 1941, in Hope, and he preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by three sons, Philip (Lori) Cooper, of Valparaiso; Larry (Becky) Cooper, of Roanoke; and Jerald (Alex) Cooper, of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sonrise United Methodist Church, Fort Wayne, and Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the church.  Rev. Scott Pattison and Rev. Kaye Patton will officiate.  Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Roanoke.
