Richard Davis

Richard Davis, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at The Heritage of Huntington, in Huntington, IN.

Mr. Davis was a 1948 graduate of Huntington High School. He served in the United States Marines.  He was a die maker for General Motors and retired after 32 years. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, American Legion Post 241, Marine Amvets and Moose Lodge 837 and was a fourth degree Knights of Columbus.
He was born Jan. 20, 1929, in Huntington to Howard and Edna Spanley Davis. His first marriage was to Nita Landrum on Aug. 12, 1950. She preceded him in death on May 10, 1983. His second marriage was to Helen Krumanaker on June 20, 1985. She survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors are two sons, Tracy (Lisa) Davis, of Austin, TX, and Terry (Rosa) Davis, of Gas City; two stepdaughters, Cindy (Mark) Schabitzer, of Andrews, and Karen (Terry) Buesching, of Rome City; a stepson, Mark (Cathy) Krumanaker, of Huntington; a sister, Carol Quickery, of Roanoke; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Davis and Jeffery Davis.

There will be no calling hours. Recitation of the Rosary will be held prior to Mass on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at 9:15 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry Street, Huntington, IN, with Rev. Tony Steinacker presiding. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.

Memorials may be made to SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N.
