Dale E. Wall

Dale E. Wall, 97, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at 8:07 a.m.  at Tipton Place in Huntington.

 Mr. Wall was a 1938 graduate of Union Township High School and served as a tech sergeant in the United States Army during World War II. His vocations were farming and carpentry in Union Township all his life, and he was a member of Union Church. He was also a member of American Legion Post 85 and VFW Post 2698.

He was born June 8, 1920, in Huntington to Julius P. and Myra Blanche Huston Wall. He married Reva M. Campbell on Jan. 3, 1942, in Union Township, she preceded him in death on April 29, 2013.

 Survivors include two sons, Dennis D. Wall, of Huntington, and Dwain E. Wall, of Peru; five grandchildren, Shawn Wall, Jarrod Wall, Seth Wall, Shelby Wall and Sable Yrjanson; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Deric J. Wall.

Calling is Sunday, May 20, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Monday, May 21, 2018, at 10 a.m.  at the mortuary, with Rev. Rick Hines officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Huntington County, with military graveside rites performed by VFW Post 2689 of Huntington.
