Leon L. Good

Leon L. Good, 84, of Bippus, IN, died Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at his home.

Mr. Good attended Akron High School and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was stationed in Anchorage, AK, before Alaska became a U.S. state, and worked at General Electric in Fort Wayne for 31 years followed by another 21 years at The Huntington County TAB. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and American Legion Post 85 and a past member of Izaak Walton League of Huntington. He also served with several scout troops in Huntington.

He was born Dec. 18, 1933, in Fulton County to Charles Ray and Mary Elizabeth Drudge Good. He married Evelyn Carolyn Bitzel on Aug. 31, 1963, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Monica L. (Terry) Eckert, of Huntington; a son, Rodney L. (Andrea) Good, of Huntington; a brother, Max (Peggy) Good of Mentone; a sister, Mary Lou (Jerry) White, of Rochester; a sister-in-law, Maggie Good, of Silver Lake; three grandchildren, Nicklaus Good, Alexandra (Jeremy) Plasterer and Cassandra Good; four stepgrandchildren, David Eckert, Daniel Eckert, Cheyanne Lewis and Josie Lewis; four great-grandchildren; six stepgreat grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.

Calling is Monday, July 23, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow at noon at the mortuary, with Rev. Kurt Snyder officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
