Wilda E. Endsley

Wilda Erline Endsley, 91, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018, at 1:45 p.m.  at Miller’s Merry Manor in Huntington.

Mrs. Endsley worked at Myer’s Ice Cream Parlor in Van Buren in 1943. She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1945. She worked at Gambles Hardware Store in Huntington for 27 years until it closed. In 2004, she retired from Southside Furniture after 27 years of service. She was a member of VFW Post 2689 Ladies’ Auxiliary and a life member of Huntington Church of the Brethren, where she was part of the Women’s Fellowship Circle.

She was born on April 23, 1927, in Grant County to George W. and Golda D. Camblin Wesco. She married Wayne R. Endsley on June 30, 1945, in Van Buren, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 2008.

Survivors include a son, Richard A. “Gomer” (Nancy) Endsley, of Huntington, two daughters, Marsha C. (Dr. Phil) Gordon, of Syracuse, and Rebecca (Rick) Landrum, of West Lafayette; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary with Rev. Tim Troyer officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service.

Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Huntington County.
