Francis D. Horsley

Francis D. Horsley, 79, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Nov. 5, 2018, at 9:55 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Horsley was a 1956 graduate of Huntington High School and worked for more than 11 years for the Erie Lackawanna Railroad as a brakeman. He later retired from working as a forklift driver at Majestic Corporation after 31 years of service. He was a member of First Brethren Church of Huntington.

He was born Oct. 29, 1939, in Huntington to Earl C. and Mildred C. Biddle Horsley. He married Sharon D. Steele on May 11, 1973, in Huntington, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Allen (Ronda) Horsley, of Huntington, and Chad (Megan) Horsley, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Ann M. (Ted) Johnson, of Huntington, and Carla J. (Sharon) Horsley, of Yorkville, IL; three grandchildren, Jeremy Johnson, Jason Johnson and Vincent Horsley; and five great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, from 10 a.m. to noon at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A memorial service will immediately follow at noon at the mortuary, with Rev. Rick Leone officiating.
