John F. Haupthof

John F. Haupthof, 71, of Warren, IN, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2018, at 2:07 p.m. at Markle Health & Rehabilitation in Markle, IN.

Mr. Haupthof was a 1965 graduate of Van Buren High School. Shortly after high school he joined the United States Army, serving from 1966 to 1968 and was stationed in Anchorage, AL. He formerly worked at Weaver Popcorn and Zeller Construction.

He was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Huntington County to Harold and Martha Haupthof. He married Deborah Rish on Aug. 7, 1968, in Wells County, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, John F. Haupthof, of Bloomington; two daughters, Reasha (Shawn) Dakin, of Gas City, and Marlena (John) Little, of Woodstock, GA; a sister, Rosemary Zeller, of Warren; his mother-in-law, Darline Rish, of Van Buren; and five grandchildren, Joshua Dakin, Justin Dakin, Peyton Little, Chloe Little and Levi Little.
Calling is Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A service of celebration will be held Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at the funeral home, with viewing to be held one hour prior. Dr. Tom Mansbarger will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion. Military graveside rites will be preformed by the U.S. Army.
