Anthony L. 'Tony' Lengerich

Anthony L. "Tony" Lengerich, 77, of Berne, IN, and having family in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at 7:28 p.m. at his residence in Berne.

Mr. Lengerich was a member of the St. Mary's of the Presentation Church, Geneva. He had worked for BF Goodrich in Woodburn for 42 years.

He was born Tuesday, March 4, 1941, in Decatur to Herman and Amelia Ulman Lengerich. He married Janet E. Laux on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1983, in St. Mary's of the Presentation Catholic Church, Geneva, and she survives.

Additional survivors are two sons, Jeff Lengerich, of Indianapolis, and Nate (Kyla) Lengerich, of Berne; five daughters, Angie (Clint) Medley, of Tennessee; Cindy (John) Drysdale, of Pennsylvania; Julie (Craig) Kosac, of Vermont; Krista (Ed) Nickles, of Huntington; and Cassy (Craig) Liechty, of Kentucky;  two sisters, Mary Ellen Welling, of Bryant, and Ruth Wilder, of Decatur; four brothers, Ted Lengerich, of Berne; Edward Lengerich, of Elkhart; and Michael Lengerich and Joseph Lengerich, both of Decatur; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, Dec. 7, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva. There will be a  Rosary service at 7:30 p.m. A service of celebration will be Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at noon at the St. Mary's of the Presentation Church, 5790E - 1100S, Geneva, with Rev. David  Ruppert  officiating.  Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Presentation Catholic Church Cemetery in Geneva. Military rites will be conducted by the United States Army.
