LuAnn Hostetler

LuAnn Hostetler, 63, of Wabash, IN, and having family in Warren, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2018, at 12:10 a.m. at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.

She was born Dec. 28, 1954, in Canton, OH, to Warren Eugene and Gladys Doerschuk Pickens.  She married Bruce Hostetler on Dec. 14, 1974, and he survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Janell (Nathan) Dockter, of North Manchester; Stefanie (Joseph) Brown, of LaFontaine; and Kari (Doug) Davenriner, of Warren; three sisters, Cinda (David) Horst, of Sterling, OH; Geneen (Kurt) Whitcher, of Hinckley, OH; and Beth (Stephen) Weingart, North Canton, OH; and 11 grandchildren.

Mrs. Hostetler became a nurse and worked at Timbercrest Senior Living Community and Manchester Clinic, both in North Manchester. Retiring from nursing in 1997, she became a co-director of independent living at White's Residential & Family Services, Wabash.  She was a member of Faith Harvest Fellowship, Wabash.  She and her husband fostered more than 70 children through the years.

Calling is Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Faith Harvest Fellowship, 1717 N. Wabash St., Wabash. A funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the church, with Rev. Kurt Stout officiating.  Additional calling will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018, from noon to 2 p.m. at the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren, 7207 Chippewa Rd., Orrville, OH.  A graveside service and burial will be immediately following at 2 p.m. in the East Chippewa Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
