Paul E. Pugh

Paul E. Pugh, 85, of Montpelier, IN, and having family in Huntington County, IN, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at 9:55 a.m. at Rolling Meadows Health and Rehabilitation in LaFontaine, IN.

Mr. Pugh was a 1951 graduate of Montpelier High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He retired from Dana, in Marion, in 1997 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Millard Brown American Legion Post 156, and had formerly attended Grace Baptist Church.

He was born on Saturday, Jan. 6, 1934, in Montpelier to Charles E. and Mary E. Cook Pugh. He married Marilyn Lloyd on Monday, Oct. 3, 1955, in the McNatt Methodist parsonage, and she survives.

Additional survivors are three daughters, Rhonda L. (Terry) Raver, of Montpelier; Carrie J. (David) Ramseyer, of Poneto; and Amy P. (Mark) Richman, of Roanok; a son, Paul Edward (Lisa) Pugh Jr., of Oaklandon; a sister, Judy (Frank) Van Camp, of Montpelier; a brother-in-law, James Wert, of Marion; nine grandchildren, Courtney (Dustin) Baumgartner, of Marion; Chad (Abby) Ramseyer, of Ossian; Jill (John) Thinnes, of Hartford City; Melanie Pugh and Matthew Pugh, both of Indianapolis; Kevin (Sydney) Ramseyer, of Warren; Haley (James) Tabb, of Fort Wayne; Kelly (Matt) Kaufman, of Anderson; and Casey Richman, of Arlington, VA; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, from 3 p.m to 8 p.m., at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A service of celebration will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Troy Kaufman officiating.  Interment will follow in the Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.
