Jack E. Eads

Jack Eugene Eads, 93, of Wabash, IN, and formerly of rural Lagro, IN, died Sunday, April 21, 2019, at 11:23 a.m., at Wellbrooke of Wabash, where he had lived since 2015.

Mr. Eads was a 1943 graduate of Lagro High School. He was the lot foreman at Pefley Implements in Lagro for 20 years, and was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the Lagro United Methodist Church, the Saw Dust Gang and a former member of the Hanna Masonic Lodge.

He was born Dec. 3, 1925, in Wabash, to John W. and Londus Miller Eads, and was raised by his father and stepmother Ruth Miller Eads. He married Miriam D. Montel on Nov. 25, 1944, in Claypool, and she preceded him in death June 11, 1994.

He is survived by two sons, Todd (Valerie) Eads, of Elkhart, and Brad (Karen) Eads, of Lagro; a daughter, Cynthia (Bob Hofstetter) Kusiak, of North Bend, WA; nine grandchildren, Andy Eads, Toni Folzenlogel, Todd Eads Jr., Stacey Klever, Scott Eads, Brent Eads, Jeff Eads, Kerry Kusiak and Mike Kusiak; and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Randall Eads.

Calling is Saturday, April 27, 2019, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be held Sunday, April 28, 2019, at 2 p.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. Rick Borgman officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Lagro.
