Dale E. Falk

Dale E. Falk, 81, of Bluffton, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Monday, May 6, 2019, at Signature Healthcare of Bluffton.

Mr. Falk was a graduate of Rock Creek High School. He served in the United States Army and the Indiana National Guard Reserves. With more than 3 million accident-free miles logged, he drove over the road for Hiner’s Transport in Huntington for more than 27 years.

He was born March 15, 1938, in Bluffton, to Thomas D. and Pearl Penrod Falk. He married Mildred M. (Gregory) Falk on March 28, 1986, in Decatur, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Jeff (Jody) Falk, of Huntington; four daughters, Brenda (Bret) Parker and Belinda (Larry) Thacker, both of Huntington; Becky Maxey, of Texas; and Peggy (Bill) Griswold, of Wichita, KS; a sister, Janice (Ray) Berry; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Shelly Gregory.

Calling is Friday, May 10, 2019, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton. A funeral service will be Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Denise Schwaberow officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory in Marion.
