Clarence L. 'Buzz' Mowery

Clarence L. “Buzz” Mowery, of North Webster, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse.

Mr. Mowery attended Bluffton High School and was a United States Army and Air Corps veteran. He formerly worked at Scarborough’s Egg Processing, Cline Trucking, Lucky Burgers and Tasty Freeze, all in Huntington. He lived in Huntington for many years until he moved to the North Webster area in 1979.

He formerly attended Central Christian Church in Huntington and was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 253 in North Webster.

He was born March 11, 1927, in Bluffton to Howard A. and Hazel Blair Mowery. He married Jacqueline Sue “Jackie” Fahrnow on Feb. 18, 1956, in Columbia City, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Deb (Greg) Bushee, of Uniondale; two sons, Rod (Deb) Mowery, of Bremen, and William “Willy” (Nadine) Mowery, of North Webster, five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren,; 12 great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, June 7, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 7 pm. at Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind.-13 and CR500N, North Webster. Military honors will take place immediately following at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with Russ Chandler and the North Webster American Legion Post 253 presiding. Private family burial will take place in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, in Marion.
