Denver W. Fisher

Denver W. Fisher, 89, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Markle, IN, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Byron Health Care Center in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Fisher had been employed as a wire enameler for GE for 41 years, retiring in 1982. He served with the United States Marine Corps during World War II.

He was born in Markle to Glen and Eva Fisher. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Fisher. He later married Dorotha "Dottie" Fisher, who survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Steven Fisher, of Bolingbrook, IL, and Glen Fisher, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Billie Worley, of Evansville; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A service will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 2 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial, with military honors, will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

Preferred memorials are gifts to Carriage House or Faith Missionary Church.
