Elizabeth 'Bette' Endsley

Elizabeth "Bette" Endsley, 88, of Van Buren, IN, and having family in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at 8:18 a.m. at Heritage Pointe in Warren.

Mrs. Endsley was a housewife and a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church, the Northside Home Ec. Club, the Theta Club and the Black Creek Conservation Club Auxiliary. She was a 1938 graduate of Marion High School.

She was born June 18, 1921, in Marion to Jesse and Blanche Kerlin Thompson. nd married Richard Endsley on July 14, 1940. He preceded her in death on Feb. 21, 1997.

Surviving are two sons, Donald (Pam) Endsley, of Warren, and James (Nancy) Endsley, of Van Buren; two sisters, Beulah Cowgill, of Marion, and Barbara (Hal) Usher, of Columbia City; a brother, Jim (Marilyn) Thompson, of Marion; a sister-in-law, Delores Endsley, of Warren; six granddaughters, Tracy (Bryan) Nall, of Huntington; Trisha (Mike) Gonzales, of Roanoke; Annette (Jim) Boucher, and Marsha (Doug) Kelly, all of Van Buren; Tammy Aldrich of Hoagland, IN; and Denise (Jeremy) Thornburgh, of Burnsville, Minn.; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Friday, May 21, 2010, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ferguson and Glancy Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St., Van Buren. A service will be held at the funeral home Saturday, May 22, 2010, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Blake Neff officiating. Burial will be in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren.
