Jane Jackson

Jane Jackson, 82, of Marion, IN, and having family in Andrews, IN, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2019, at 1:20 a.m. at Marion General Hospital.

Mrs. Jackson graduated from Muncie Central High School and Ball State University, where she received her master's in education. She taught for 31 years with Marion Community Schools, retiring in 1995. She was a member of First Friends Church in Marion, as well as 55 Speeders and Grant County Retired Teachers Association. She also served as state secretary for the International Reading Association.

She was born Dec. 18, 1936, in Connersville to Neil and Dorotha Mullin Moster. She married William Allen on Aug.  24, 1957, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Jay (Martha) Jackson, of Farmland, and Jerry (Julia Jimenez) Jackson, of Dayton, OH; two daughters, Jill Jackson of Marion, and Judy (Troy) Ruggles, of Andrews; and four grandchildren, Kylie Jackson and Kaitlyn Jackson, both of Marion; and Charles Haylock and Samuel Jimenez, both of Dayton, OH.

Calling is Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A graveside service will flollow immediately after at 1 p.m. at Grant Memorial Park, with burial following. Rev. Dwight Elliott will officiate.
