Charles B. West

Charles B. West, 78 of Geneva, IN, and having family in Huntington, IN, died Sunday afternoon, Sept. 22, 2019, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. West worked at Sterling Casting for 21 years, Corning Glass for eight years and West Disposal Service for nine years. He was a longtime member of the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dunkirk.

He was born July 5, 1941, in St. Charles, VA, to Walter and Rosie Parks West. He married Donna L. Brown on March 25, 1995, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 2, 2018.

Survivors include five daughters, Lena (Charles) Taylor, of Dunkirk; Jennifer (Matt) Elzey, of Huntington; Stephanie (Eric) West, of New Haven; Tina (Eddie) Rabon, of Geneva; and Tracy Jamison, of Bluffton; two sons, David (Corina) West, of Huntington, and John (Casey) Smith II, of Geneva; a brother, Donald Lee (Eunice) West, of Bluffton; three sisters, Pauline Rothgeb and Bernice (Larry) Wine, both of Fort Wayne, and Midge (Huey) Ginter, of Liberty Center; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling at 3 p.m. a the funeral home, with Rev. Joe Simpson and Rev. Bobbie Thomas officiating. Burial will take place at Six Mile Cemetery in Bluffton.
