Robert G. Heaston

Robert G. Heaston, 93, of Warren, IN, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at 12:12 p.m. at his residence.

Mr. Heaston was a graduate of Lancaster High School. He was a member of the Salamonie Church of the Brethren. He served his country in the United States Army, serving during World War II. He worked as a postal clerk for many years. He also had worked for Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home for several years. He was a member of the American Legion.

He was born June 15, 1926, in Huntington.  He married Wiladene E. McIlrath on Nov. 21, 1948, at the Salamonie Church of the Brethren, in Lancaster, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, James R. Heaston, of Markle; two daughters, Peggy D. Smith, of Markle, and Bonnie Boxell, of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Stacy Rice and Jasmine Beekman, of Huntington,  and Tyler Heaston, of Lafayette; six great-grandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild.
 
Calling is Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  and Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019, from noon to 1 p.m. at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A funeral service will follow immediately after calling on Tuesday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Mel Zumbrun officiating. Interment will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington.
