Neil A. McCoy

Neil Allen McCoy, 76, of Englewood, FL, formerly of Fort Wayne, In, and having family in Roanoke, IN, died Oct.17, 2019, at his home.

Mr. McCoy was a Fort Wayne fire fighter for 25 years before retiring. He then went on to retire from Holland Trucking. He served in the Air National Guard. He volunteered at the Fort Wayne Zoo, showing snakes and geckos for more than10 years.

He was born April 30, 1943, in Fort Wayne to Basil and Louise Lavine McCoy. He was married to Linda L. Buell for 53 years, and she survives.

Additional survivors are a son, Allen (Jean) McCoy, of Roanoke; a daughter, Kimberly (Chuck) Raber, of Douglasville, GA; a brother, John McCoy; two sisters, Jean Day and Rita Douglas; and four grandchildren, Robert McCoy and Charles Raber III, both of Fort Wayne; Luke Neuhaus, of Anderson; and Brittney Raber, of Douglasville, GA.

Calling is Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, from 4 p.m. until the 7 p.m. service at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd., Fort Wayne.
