Ruby F. Taylor

Ruby Faye Taylor, 97, of Marion, IN, and having family in Van Buren, IN, died Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, at 5:25 a.m. at Wesleyan Health Care Center in Marion.

Mrs. Taylor attended Hogg school, a one-room school house in Allen County. She went to Marion College for nursing, and was an LPN at the VA hospital for many years. She was a member of the Nazarene Lincoln Boulevard in Marion.

She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Allen County to Lawrence and Iva Stairwalt Martin. She married Claude A. Taylor on May 24, 1947, and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Gary (Linda) Taylor, of Van Buren; a daughter-in-law, Eula Taylor, of Van Buren; a brother, Mike Martin, of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren, Tiffany Henderson, Terry Taylor, Sherry Rumple, Cassie (Billy) Kirkpatrick, P.J. Jones and Brandon (Lesley) Jones; and several great-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Lowell Taylor, and a daughter, Claudia Taylor.

Calling is Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Ferguson & Glancy Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Van Buren. A service will follow immediately after at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Kent Martin officiating.  Interment will take place in the Gardens of Memory in rural Marion.
