Joseph E. Harrison

Joseph E. Harrison, 91, of Huntington, IN died Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.
 
Mr. Harrison was a 1945 graduate of Huntington High School. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a United States Marine during the Korean War. He retired as a printer after 38 years at Our Sunday Visitor and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntington.
     
He was born Oct. 19, 1928, in Huntington to Harry W. and Frances Wahrer Harrison. He married Glenna J. Fahrnow on May 28, 1954, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 30, 2008.

He is survived by three daughters, Paula (David) Funk, Christine (Dan) Shoemaker and Laura J. Hughes, all of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ann M. Cirullo.
 
Calling is prior to Mass on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St., Roanoke, IN 46783. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held immediately following at the church, with Rev. Dale Bauman presiding. Burial with military tites by the VFW Post 2689 will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
