IdaCorine 'Connie' Thrush

IdaCorine "Connie" Thrush, 98, of rural Wabash, IN, and having family in Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, April 25, 2020, at 12:50 p.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Thrush graduated from Chippewa High School in 1939. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the Wabash Plain Dealer. Thereafter, she was a housewife and assisted on the family farm. In later years, she worked at Emmalou's Dress Shop in Wabash. She was a longtime member of Bachelor Creek Church of Christ in Wabash.

She was born Nov. 13, 1921, in Jonesboro to Coartland and Mable Calender Connelly. She married Warren Wilbur "Webb" Thrush in 1941, and he survives.

Additional survivors are a daughter, Carol (Jim) Keffaber, of Wabash; a son, Larry C. Thrush, of Wabash; three grandchildren, Tony (Connie) Keffaber, of Franklin, TN; Todd (Barb) Keffaber, of Freeport, FL; and Shelly (Mark) Witmer, of Roanoke; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter.

Because of restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, private services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Solomon David officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawns Cemetery, Wabash.
