William G. 'Bill' Gavin

William G. “Bill” Gavin, 75, of rural Liberty Center, IN, and having family in Huntington County, IN, died Saturday evening, May 30, 2020, at his residence.

Mr. Gavin attended the New Beginning Church in Bluffton and worked for W&W Concrete for many years, until he later went to work at Genova Products for more than 10 years.  He later drove various trucks at Bailey Trucking and J.A.T. Transportation in Fort Wayne until his retirement.  After retiring, he owned and operated his own business, Gabby’s Hauling, for many years.

He was born June 23, 1944, in Liberty Center to George D. and Edna M. (Bennett) Gavin.

Survivors include four daughters, Ronda K. (Jim) Wilson and Jennifer N. (Terry) Dunnuck, both of Bluffton; Lisa M. (Stephen) Roose, of Markle; of Bluffton, and Kristine M. (T.J.) Baatz of Ossian; a sister, Betty Abenath, of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.
 
Calling is Thursday, June 4, 2020, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Goodwin–Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, 3220E-INd. 124, Bluffton. A private family service will be held later, with Steve Sutton officiating.
