Geraldine “Gerri” Dolby Busenburg

Geraldine “Gerri” Dolby Busenburg, 76, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Busenburg worked as a shipping and receiving clerk at Lime City Manufacturing, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She was born on Aug. 7, 1944 in Somerset, KY, to Willie and Lola H. Huff Gholson. She was first married to Delbert L. Burton Sr., who preceded her in death, and then married Robert W. Dolby on July 14, 1973. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2002. On Sept. 22, 2007, she married Jerry L. Busenburg, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 31, 2019.

Survivors include two sons, Delbert (Deb) Burton Jr., of Auburn, and Rick (Audra) Burton, of Columbus, OH; two daughters, Anita Runion, of Huntington, and Deanna (Eric Cole) Burton, of Woodstock, GA; two brothers, Bobby (Janie) Gholson, of Burnside, KY, and Gale Gholson, of Somerset, KY; two sisters, Edna (Roy) Simpson, of Waco, KY, and Ivalee (Bobby) Meece, of Somerset, KY; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Calling will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Lancaster Cemetery. Those in attendance are asked to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing and social gathering limits.
