Beverly J. Johnson

Beverly J. Johnson, 83, of Roanoke, IN, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2020, at 10:20 p.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Roanoke High School in 1955. She was the owner of Roan-Oak Antiques in Roanoke and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Rosary Society.

She was born on July 1, 1937 in Roanoke, to Arthur D. and Margaret I. Stogdill Hartley. She married Wallace P. “Wally” Johnson on June 4, 1955, in Huntington, and he survives in Roanoke.  

Additional survivors include two daughters, Brenda Johnson, of Huntington, and Angela “Angie” (Joel) Hettmansperger, of Indianapolis; two sons, Jeffrey (Angela) Johnson, of Indianapolis, and Zane (Angie) Johnson, of Prescott Valley, AZ; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Calling will be held Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 641 N. Main St., Roanoke, with Rev. Dale Bauman officiating, with one hour of calling prior to the service. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Roanoke. Those in attendance are asked to follow social distancing guidelines for all events.
