Dorothy M. Veach

Dorothy M. Veach, 87, of Warren, IN, died Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at 9:35 p.m. at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Veach had worked at Shuttleworth's Tomato Factory for three years, was a cook for the Van Buren schools for 11 years and was a nursing assistant for 24 years at the United Methodist Memorial Home, now known as Heritage Pointe, in Warren. She was a former member of the Northside Extension Homemakers Club of Van Buren and had attended Lancaster Wesleyan Church in Huntington County. She graduated from Marion High School in 1939.

She was born Sept. 5, 1921, in Grant County to Robert Jacob and Viola M. Wright Streib. Her first marriage was to Bernard C. Rennaker, who preceded her in death. Her second marriage was to Harold Veach, who also preceded her in death.

Survivors include four daughters, Connie Mae (Philip) Cook, of Williamsburg; Sharon K. (Gail) Leidig, of Warren; Joyce (Stanley) Steiner, of Texas; and Jill Rennaker, of Ossian; two sons, Lowell (Janis) Rennaker, of Marion, and Terry (Carol) Rennaker, of Huntington; a stepdaughter, Norma Gail Laughlin, of Largo, FL; two stepsons, Eugene Kathy) Veach, of Indiana, and LaVon Veach, of Huntington; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

A service was held Saturday, March 21, 2009, at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, Warren, with Dr. Mark Rennaker officiating. Burial was at Estates of Serenity, Marion.
