Sharon K. Fannin

Sharon K. Fannin, 82, of Andrews, IN, died on Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at 4:01 a.m., at Miller's Merry Manor in Marion.

Mrs. Fannin graduated from Monument City High School. She had worked as a bartender at Bob's Bar in Mt. Etna and the Moose Lodge in Marion before managing Knobby Restaurant in Marion. She also opened her own restaurant, Sharon's Restaurant, in 1990 and operated it until her retirement.

She was born in Huntington on April 4, 1938, to Howard and Lela Gard Gilbert. She was married to William Fannin, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Kaptolla "Kappy" (William) Johnson, of Kenton, OH, Fenna (Linnie) Saylors, of LaFontaine, William "Billy" (Vickie) Fannin, of Marion, and Penny (John) Sterrett, of Anderson; two sisters, Lora Gamble, of Huntington, and Iris White, of Florida; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling will be held on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Avenue, Marion.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Oct. 30, at 1 p.m., at the funeral home, with Rev. David Parker officiating. Burial will  take place at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
