Garl E. Campbell

Garl E. Campbell, 77, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne.       

Mr. Campbell graduated from Jefferson Township High School in 1961.  He served in the Indiana National Guard and was employed at Wabash Technology in Huntington for 40 years. He also helped out many local farmers over the years.  He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 85, Warren Area Antique Tractor Club, Wabash Tractor Club, All Color Antique Tractor Club and Heart of Michigan Antique Tractor Club. He was also a member of First Nazarene Church in Huntington.

He was born on Dec. 2, 1942, in Huntington County, to Norman Levi and Gonverd Elizabeth Spaulding Campbell. He married Audrey A. Burgess on Dec. 22, 1972. She preceded her in death on Dec. 6, 2019.

Survivors include one son, Norman W. Campbell, of Huntington; two daughters, Tina Campbell, of Huntington, and Sharlyn (Chuck) Lulfs, of Swanton, OH; two step-sons, Roger W. Miller, of Huntington and Terry L. (Carrie) Miller, of Warren; a step-daughter, Marsha A. (Robert) Black-Stevens, of Huntington; nine grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 14 step-great-grandchildren.
     
Calling will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m., at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Nov. 20, 2020, at 11 a.m., at the First Church of the Nazarene, 1555 Flaxmill Road, Huntington, with calling one hour prior. Burial will be in Mt. Etna Cemetery, Huntington.
