Waneta M. Brown

Waneta M. Brown, 100, of Warren, IN, died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020, at 7:32 p.m., at Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Brown graduated from Huntington Township High School with the class of 1938. She worked at Asbestos Plant in Huntington during World War II. She was a homemaker and farmer. She was also a member of the Mt. Etna United Methodist Church.                

She was born on Nov. 24, 1919,  in  Huntington County, to Ross and Lodema Stults Kennedy. She married Floyd L. Brown on Feb. 22, 1948. He preceded her in death.
                        
Survivors include two sons, Terrill (Teresa) Brown, of Pierceton, and Steven (Jayne) Brown, of Green Valley, AZ; a daughter, Karen Brown, of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Jama (Jay) Salge, Brice Brown, Jennifer (Michael) Lortie, David (Lindsay) Keister, Leslie (Lyle) Steeleman and Evan Brown; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Keister, and  a grandson, Ethan Brown.

Calling will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2020, from 11 a.m. to noon, at Mt. Etna United Methodist Church, 6383W-600S, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follo with Rev. Mike Gallant officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Marion.
