Charles "Charlie" D. Brumbaugh, 87, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, at 6:50 p.m., at Millers Merry Manor of Huntington.
Mr. Brumbaugh graduated from Huntington Township High School with the class of 1951 and then enlisted in the U. S. Army. He was employed at E-Systems (Memcor) as a manufacturing engineer for 27 years. He then worked at ITT Aerospace Communications Division in Fort Wayne for 15 years, where he retired. He was also a wedding photographer with his son Terry, from 1978 to 2000. He was a member of the Faith Community Church of God in Huntington. He was a greeter, usher and served on the finance committee board for many years.
He was born on July 17, 1933, in Huntington, to Don and Opal Lewis Brumbaugh. He married Doris J. Ware on Sept. 1, 1956, at the Central Christian Church in Huntington. She survives in Huntington.
Additional survivors include two sons, Terry L. (Diane) Brumbaugh, of Huntington, and Jerry W. (Teresa) Brumbaugh, of Huntington; a daughter, Cynthia (Doug) Farlow, of Fort Wayne; three sisters, Pat Hayes, Lee Harris, and Dollie Wallace, of Valpariso; one brother, Robert Brumbaugh, of LaPorte; three grandsons, Adam (Chris R.) Brumbaugh, of Lake Nona, FL, Christopher (Brittney) Brumbaugh, of Huntington, and Josh Wiley, of Huntington; two granddaughters, Jennifer Shumaker, of Harlan, and Jessica Williams, of Fort Wayne; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow at the mortuary with Rev. Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory in Marion.
Masks and social distancing are required. The funeral home is limited to 50 people at one time.
