David M. Vining, 64, of Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Parkview Hospital.
Mr. Vining graduated from Snider High School in Fort Wayne. He and his wife owned Vining Slaughter Haus for 12 years and he worked in the family business for over 40 years. He was a member of the Sons of the America Legion squadron 160 and the Loyal Order of the Moose in Huntington.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1956, in Fort Wayne, to Paul and Patricia Vining. He married Carol Shaw Vining on Feb. 18, 1984, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Susanna (Michael) Hinen, of Huntington; a sister, Paula (Steven) Stinson; three brothers, Steven Vining, Tony Vining and Joseph (Lori) Vining; and a granddaughter, Chloe Hinen.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shannon Vining.
There will be a private service at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Interment will take place at Covington Memorial Gardens.
A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
