David B. Wechsler, 81, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at 6:45 a.m., at Miller's Merry Manor of Huntington.
Mr. Wechsler graduated from Huntington Township High School with the class of 1957 and then enlisted in the U. S. Army. He retired from International Harvester/Navistar after more than 30 years of service. He also worked at Huntington Orchards and Dana Corp. He was a member of the Solid Rock Methodist Church in Warren and volunteered at the Community Garden of Warren.
He was born on Nov. 6, 1939, in Huntington, to Clifford Wechsler and Blair Wood -Wechsler. He married Susan K. Bailey-Wechsler on Aug. 31, 1993, in Gatlinburg, TN. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Deeann (Randy) Snead, of Huntington; a son, Kyle (Krysti) Wechsler, of Fort Wayne; two stepdaughters, Amy L. Neeper, of Valparaiso, and Nancy L. Neeper, of Caldwell, ID; nine grandchildren; two step grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne A. Wechsler.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at Solid Rock Methodist Church in Warren.
