Melvin Dean Norris, 58, of Huntington, Indiana, died at 7:27 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, in Huntington.
Mr. Norris was a 1981 graduate of Wabash High School. He worked as a line leader for Pellum Kelley Factory in Huntington.
He was born on May 11, 1962, in Brookings, SD, to Jess and Carol Noland Cavins.
Survivors include four children, Jennefer (Joshua Nichols) Perez, of Huntington, Mindy Mae (Steve) Miller, of Indianapolis, Melvin "Dean" Weaver, of Indianapolis, and Mandy Weaver, of Fort Wayne; siblings, Carla (Kenneth) Black, Jess (Marry) Norris and Brady (Roland) Berryman, all of Huntington, and Barbie (Andrew) Butler and Joshua (Monica) Cavins, both of Wabash; and three grandchildren, Tyler Adams, Jordan Shake and Taylor Shake, all of Huntington.
Calling will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., with a funeral service to follow at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash. Ralph Johnson will officiate.
Burial will be in Friends Cemetery in Wabash.
