Lois June Mirante-Dugan, 94, of Franklin, IN, and with family in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at 4:05 a.m., at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.
Mrs. Mirante-Dugan worked for Dr. Ebbinghouse DDS and also Resneck's Dress Shop, both in Wabash. She was a member of the Bachelor Creek Church of Christ.
She was born March 1, 1926, in Wabash, to Eli and Grace Banister Jones. She was first married to Edward R. Mirante on Aug. 14, 1943, in Rolla, MO. He preceded her in death on May 15, 1994. She then married Donald D. Dugan on Feb. 17, 1996. He preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 2011.
Survivors include three sons, Mark E. Mirante, of Seattle, WA, Paul R. (Linda) Mirante, of Wabash and Dennis G. Mirante, of Fort Wayne; a daughter-in-law, Jan Mirante, of Ventura, CA; a brother, Earl (Alice) Jones, of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Steve Mirante, of Ventura, CA, Robert (Dawna) Mirante, of Santa Rosa, CA, Kate Mirante and Kyra Mirante, both of New Orleans, LA, Darin (Emilee) Mirante, of Burlington, KY, Page (Kevin) Russell, of Fishers, Stephen (Tammy) Mirante, of Fortville, Jason (Samantha) Cussen, of Huntington, and Brittany (Chad) Cowart, of Lakeland, FL; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Richard Mirante, on Dec. 15, 2014.
Private services and burial will be in Falls Cemetery, Wabash. Arrangements are being handled by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
