Orlin L. Miller

Orlin L. Miller, 96, of LaFontaine, IN, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington.

Mr. Miller graduated from LaFontaine High School and served during World War II in the U.S. Army. He worked as a grain and dairy farmer and an electrician.  He served on the Board of Directors for Wabash County REMC for 21 years.  He attended Lincolnville United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School there for over 20 years.

He was born in Wabash County on Feb. 4, 1925, to Otto and Elsa Ridgeway Miller.  He married Lavada Miller on May 14, 1948. She survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Dennis (Patricia) Miller, of LaFontaine; a daughter, Linda (David) Habegger, of Fort Wayne; a granddaughter, Christi (Steve) Pieper, of North Carolina; a stepgrandson, Mark Habegger, of Fort Wayne; and two great-grandchildren.

A private family funeral service will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at 2 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Homes, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine, with Rev. Bill Rapp officiating.

Burial will follow at LaFontaine IOOF Cemetery.
