Peggy K. Phillips, 49, of Zanesville, IN, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2021, at her residence.
She attended Southern Wells High School and later received her GED. She then attended Ivy Tech and Indiana Business Medical College where she received her degree in medical coding. She worked as a logistics coordinator at Saratoga Potato Chips in Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 242 in Bluffton.
She was born on Jan. 25, 1972, in Bluffton, to Darrell and Cynthia Campbell Schneider. Joseph and Charlotte Yencer, of Zanesville, adopted her. Her adoptive mother survives.
Additional survivors includea son, Richard (Danialle) Phillips, of Hartford City; three daughters, Regina Schneider, of Vermont, Rissa Schneider - Baumgartner, of Quincy, IL, and Chelsea (Lee) Cutshall, of Huntington; three brothers, Ricky (Rochelle) Schneider, of South Whitley, Justin Best, of Hoagland, and Michael Maas, of Quincy, IL; four sisters, Rita (Michael) Wickey, of Markle, Becky Schneider – White, of Cincinnati, OH, Machelle Yencer, of Decatur, and Tammy (Jim) Blair, of Quincy, IL; grandmother, Annette Best, of Markle; and seven grandchildren.
Calling will be held on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, from 2 to 6 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A funeral service will follow immediately at the funeral home. Those in attendance are asked to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing.
Interment will take place at a later date at the Hoverstock Cemetery in Zanesville.
