Scott Jeffrey Bowers, 59, of Huntington, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, 12:21 a.m., at IU Health University Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Bowers attended Huntington North High School. He served in the U. S. Army from 1981 to 1983. He worked as a supervisor at Maco in Huntington for many years and he retired from Schneider Electric.
He was born on March 31, 1961, in Huntington, to Jackie and Alice Raber Bowers. He married Wendy Dee Jackson on April 28, 1984, in Huntington. She survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Jamie Jackson, of Huntington, and Heather (Justin Mote) Bowers, of Huntington; three brothers, Tim Bowers, of Markle, David (Barb) Bowers, of Roanoke, and Jackie Bowers, of Markle; two sisters, May (Steve) Rodgers, of Huntington, and Melissa (Kevin) Pitman, of Huntington; two grandsons, Vincent Nichols, of Huntington, and Bentley Mote, of Huntington; two granddaughters, Kayley Williams, of Huntington, and Kennedie McDaniel, of Huntington; and a stepgrandson, Lorenzo Mote, of Huntington.
Calling will take place on Tuesday, March 9, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 10, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Ethan Stivers officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Masks and social distancing are required at all events.
Burial will be in Marion National Cemetery in Marion at a later date.
