Thurman T. Glassburn, 100, of North Manchester, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at Peabody Retirement Center in North Manchester.
Mr. Glassburn was a WWII veteran. He was also a postal carrier for many years.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1920, in Miami County, to Gilbert and Ina Roubenalt Glassburn. He married Viola Davenriner in 1946. She preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 1982. He later married Dorothy Barlow on Jan. 2, 1983. She survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Sharon (Dewayne) Anderson, of Huntington; a stepson, Phillip (Judy) Barnett, of Chicago; four grandchildren, Michelle (Chad) Hacker, of Huntington, Michael (Media) Anderson, of Fort Wayne, Rachel (Aaron) Kiefer, of Huntington, and Matthew (Lindsey) Anderson, of Utah; a stepgranddaughter, Michele (Kurt) Landis; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow. Those in attendance are asked to follow CDC and state guidelines for masks and social distancing.
Interment will be at the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
