Brenda Elaine Lewis, 68, of Fort Wayne, and formerly of Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Lewis graduated from Mississinewa High School in 1971. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana Wesleyan University. She also received a master’s from Indiana Wesleyan University. She was a licensed nursing home administrator and owned Lewis Interim Services. She was also an ordained deaconess with the Church of the Nazarene.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1952, in Roanoke, to Rex and Faye Belle Craig Hughes. She married Ward Rinehard Lewis, in Jonesboro. He survives in Fort Wayne.
Additional survivors include two sons, Daniel (Valerie) Lewis, of Fort Wayne, and Matthew Lewis, of Tampa, FL; two brothers, David Hughes, of Zephyrhills, FL, and Randy Hughes, of Marion; and two grandchildren, Eleanor Rogers and Emilia Rogers.
Calling will take place on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, 8611 Mayhew Road, Fort Wayne. A funeral service will immediately follow. Hite Funeral Home, 403 S. Main St., Kendallville, is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Fairmount.
