Robert M. “Bob” Rzasa, 78, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at 2:17 a.m., at his home.
Mr. Rzasa served in Vietnam as a U.S. Marine. He worked at Wayne Metals in Markle for 26 years and then retired from Majestic in June 2006. He was a member of Huntington VFW Post No. 2689 and American Legion Post No. 7.
He was born on Jan. 30, 1943, in Johnstown, PA, to Stanley A. and Josephine Saloney Rzasa. He married Patty L. Long in Johnstown, PA, on June 3, 1967. She preceded him in death on March 18, 2017.
Survivors include a son, Robert M. (Kristi) Rzasa, of Markle; three daughters, Connie Biehl, of Fort Wayne, Terri Rzasa, of Salem, AL, and Kristina Dorety, of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Mary Jane (Lou) Stormer, of Jennerstown, PA, and Cindy Lou Costa, of New Mexcio; three grandchildren, Dustin Rzasa, Brooke Araujo and Carly Rzasa; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Dorety.
Calling will take place on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
Calling will take place again on Thursday, March 25, from 9 to 10 a.m, with a funeral service to follow immediately after at the funeral home. Rev. Tony Steinacker will officiate.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory, Huntington County. VFW Post No. 2689 will provide graveside military honors.
