Sister Millicent Peaslee, OLVM

Sister Millicent Peaslee, OLVM, 100, of Huntington, died Saturday, April 17, 2021, at Saint Anne Community at Victory Noll, Huntington.
 
Sister Millicent entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Oct. 28, 1939, and made first vows on Aug. 5, 1942.  She served in the religious education and parish ministry in the states of Michigan, Indiana, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, California and Colorado. Her focus centered on spiritual direction and spiritual formation. She was the co-founder of La Providencia retreat and spirituality center in California. She returned to Victory Noll in June of 2010 and continued to be involved in retreats, days of reflection and spiritual direction.

She was born on March 20, 1921, in Gary, to Oliver and Marie Mosgrove Peaslee.

She is survived by her nieces, nephews and her Victory Noll sisters, who she shared life and community with for 82 years.

A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. Services will be for sisters only and will be livestreamed. Contact victorynoll@olvm.org for the livestream link. McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN, is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery in Huntington.
