Laura Evelyn Webb

Laura Evelyn Webb, 97, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, May 15, 2021, at her residence.

Mrs. Webb was a 1942 Huntington High School graduate. She attended the Central Academy of Commercial Art in Cincinnati, OH, The Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and Butler University. She was a partial owner of Webb & Son Jewelers in Huntington.  She was also employed by the United Way and Rickert Studio. She was an elder member of the First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, and a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1923, in Indianapolis, to Frederick William and Helen Hughel Pollock. She married Richard Ernest Webb on Feb. 3, 1946, in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Terry Richard (Peggy) Webb, of Fort Wayne, Thomas Murphy (Bonnie) Webb, of Lake Tippy, and James Frederick (Joyce) Webb, of South Whitley; one sister, Lois Marie Howard, of Cincinnati, OH; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Keith Webb.

Calling will take place on Monday, May 24, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a funeral service following immediately after, at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, Huntington. Rev. John Beehler will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
