Thomas Max Thornburg

Thomas Max Thornburg, 69, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 1:43 p.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Thornburg was a 1970 graduate of Winchester High School and earned his bachelor's from Ball State University in 1974. He worked as a manager at Luby's Cafeteria in San Antonio, TX. He was also the co-owner of TAM-A-SAK, INC, and retired in 2018. He was a member of Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church.

He was born on May 10, 1952 in Winchester, to Wilbur Thornburg and Barbara J. Sudol. He married Tamara Dinius on July 28, 1986, in Las Vegas, NV. She survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors include two sons, Aaron (Angela) Thornburg, of Phoenix, AZ, and Jeremy (Rochelle) Thornburg, of Avon, OH; a sister, Jil (Max) Funk, of Greenville, TN; and four granddaughters.

Calling will take place on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Pleasant Chapel United Methodist Church, 880E-1100N, Roanoke. A funeral service will follow immediately after with Rev. Joel Yeager officiating.

Burial will be in Union Cemetery.
