Franklin A. Slusher

Franklin A. Slusher, 82, of rural Warren, IN, died June 12, 2021, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Slusher attended Jackson Center School. He was a lifetime farmer in Dillman and later, his son joined him in the operation. He attended the Dillman and McNatt churches.

He was born on Aug. 18, 1938, in Jackson Township, Wells County, to Raphael (Johnny) and Elretta Zoda Slusher. He married Claudine King on Dec. 24, 1955. She survives.

Additional survivors include a son, Rick (Karen) Slusher, of Warren; a daughter, Brenda (Doug) Sparks, of Warren; a brother, Dale (Patty) Slusher; a sister, Karen (DeWayne) Keplinger; a brother-in-law, David (Janine) King; five grandchildren, Kelly Harris, Justin (Cami) Sparks, Nick (Danielle) Slusher, Melissa (Graham) Garrett, and Kent (Erin) Sparks Maze; two step-grandkids, Ben Herman and Jill (James) Rogers; nine great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.

Calling will take place on June 15, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m., at Glancy H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A celebration of life service will take place on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Dick Case and Rev. Bill VanHaften will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Asbury Cemetery.
